So ever since I got my DSM I've always wanted to take it to the track for fun.
I was convinced by a buddy of mine that I work with to go Ice-Racing.
Needless to say I had a blast, definitely a different feel racing on ice but still can't wait to go again.

I didn't do bad, but I most certainly wasn't the worst guy out there, for being a noob.
I was pretty much on point with some nice new EVO Xs. I didn't get real aggressive with the driving - mainly because of wicked understeer, didn't want to get anymore DNFs, hit some timing equip., etc.

For any fellow Midwest/Wisconsin guys PM me for next event!

Pics say it all -->FVSCC Ice RallyCross January 31th 2010 - a set on Flickr

It was located in Fon-du-lac/ oshkosh area on lake winnebago.
Next couple events coming up that i know of are in hutisford but I'm sure there will be more.
The "things" in the tires are known as studs aka sharpened bolts, one guy had $500 worth of studs in his tires.

In the back straight I got up to around 50mph (60-65mph wheelspin). Whereas the studded WRX (sti wannabe) got up to around 85-90mph. With studs you get more traction then you would think - as opposed to pavement.

I was really happy to see they got some good shots of my car since I felt like an outcast in subaru land (haha).

No videos that I know of, I tried taking a phone video but it looked like crap!
