I'm rewiring all of my interior gauges/devices and want to get an advice on what is the best switched 12v source to hook up to the fuse block.

The fuse block has 6 (30Amp) channels, most of the accessories are going to be bulbs and switches. But there is going to be probably more than 8 of them, some through relays. So, i need something that can handle all of the accessories.

I know that there are some ignition wires under the steering column that might work, also heard that MPI relay (pin 5) might do the trick.

Just want to get some educated opinions on what would be the appropriate tap for my application.

Thank you

Personally, if I were doing what it sounds like you're doing, I would use the switched +12V Ignition wire in the steering column (should be Black/White). You could also trigger a relay with a low current switched power circuit to provide +12V straight from your battery if you're worried about current draw issues. Just make sure you fuse your +12V lead appropriately!

Thanks for the response but i already finished wiring up all my accessories.

What i ended up doing was running a 8ga wire straight from the battery to the fuse block. So the fuse block is my constant +12v that feeds two other relays which feed 3 devices each. That is on top of whatever other constants i have going to the fuse block. Works great!
