So i am driving yesterday and i look at my temp gauge and looks pretty high. Before i noticed i leaked some coolant on my drive way but i couldnt figure out where it wascoming from. so anyway i pulled over and looked at the gauge- it went all the way up to hot. i switched off the car and popped the hood. i saw a hose by the alternator and it was just squirting out coolant. the car had a huge puddle of it underneath. soi called my freind we went ot autozone, got new hose, replaced the old one and now i am jsut waiting to see the next challenge my dsm is going to give me. LOL. :D :dsm:

well if it went to hot you might have a headgasket issue now :)

I'm sure it hardly made a mess at allLOL.Nice to see a girl working on her car. A turbo car even. I give you an A+;)

Wow, if that I'm pretty sure atleast 2 or 3 people would have been calling him an idiot for that not being a funny story, or he's an idiot or something. It's amazing what a chick working on her own car can do to the Male gene pool! :p

If that is the only bad thing that happened to you that day, I would consider yourself lucky hah.

i had to replace that same one. LOL i hated it. and i also had to replace the coolant hose that goes to the oil filter housing and another one i dont know where it went to but yea so i went ahead and replaced every hose on the car so i wouldnt have no more leaks LOL

I kind of expected something actually funny, but i guess this will ahve to do, congrats on your first of many DSM breaks :)

Im surprised you even drove it knowing coolant was leaking. I would have hunted down that leak, knowing the consequences of overheating.

You may have already done this, but check the condition of those other hoses. Double check to see if your maintenance is up to date, as you may be able to prevent other issues. Good job, and good luck!

+1^ i hadn't replaced any of my hoses when i got the car, and one by one they all started blowing off and leaking everywhere, and caused me hella problems and sh*t, so changing them all at once with good hoses will save you time and $ in the long run....
