2G Fullblown dual pump hanger with one fuel pump?

Has anyone ever heard of running a dual fuel pump hanger with only one pump? It would make things easier for install I would think since I wouldn't have to wire up a second pump and a hobbs switch.

Thats a great question. Id like to know the answer to this as well. I know that RTM claims that their dual pumper unit can me run on a single pump so you don't have to buy another sending unit when you need more fuel so its a good possibility.

Im going to give it a try and see what happens. I probably wont be installing this for a couple more weeks but if it works out with one pump I will let you know.

I'm not 100% on this, but I think that you will need to remove the unused barbed fitting that is on the Full Blown sending unit (the one that the second pump would feed into), and replace it with a NPT plug. If you don't, I think that the 1st pump would just push the fuel back into the tank through that unused fitting.

Just looked at my RTM and its the same way. Comes with a NPT fitting in place of the second barb. Should be rather easy to do.
