I was thinking and came to the conclusion that 3" turbo back is not really turbo back LOL it's more of a 3" downpipe back exhaust so.. how could you get full 3" turbo back? :talon:

Ummmmm ok. "Turboback Exhaust" refers to an entire exhaust system that starts at the 02 housing and goes all the way to the end. I do not get what you are trying to say here.

WTF I'm with you on this one ericbev  , lost me too... OMG 3" inch turbo back is three inch, The only other thing that I've seen is 2.5 from the housing to the flex pipe, then 3 the rest of the way back to the exhaust... Is that what you meant? :tease:

he wants a 3 inch housing as well. what turbo are you running? do you really need that much flow? i doubt it

I know this is not the same application, but you should take this into consideration. I have a Starion with a 3inch turbo back exhaust. The whole exhaust is full 3inch, and does not have a Cat. Sounds very intimidating, but I kinda dont like it. Turns to many heads, Ive been pulled over once for it.

yea th exhaust on my othe car a cavalier with a v6 has full 2.5" no cat with apexi style muffler 3" inlet 4.5" outlet on it and it's really loud and never meen pulled over and anything but.. i'm looking to get full 3" on my 91 for better flow and sound for at the local car shows in the spring so i can turn heads :thumb:

A few pics of the exhaust on my cavalier.

Yea what he said is what i was looking for Umm, I'm going to be running a t3/t4 hybrid. :thumb:

A 3" o2 housing is probably not needed. A 2.5" o2 housing should be addequate for most anything with a stage I-III t-31 turbine. If you go with a stage V t-350 turbine, the 3" o2 housing should help power a little. The t-350 is usually found on larger turbos like a 60-1 (pte 6076) or 56 trim(pte 6152). Im guessing with you lack of mods, your not going with anything large enough to utilize a 3" o2 housing.

Ok I see now so i should when i get my t3/t4 just try and get ahold of a 2.5 o2 houseing an not a 3? in that case ok you guys helped me thanks

Modd can close this one if needed :thumb:
