Hi everyone. I'm in the process of replacing my fuel tank (rust) and i just noticed a problem. My fuel hanger doesnt match the tank. Its about 1" too long but the bolt holes would match if it were the correct length. I bought a used tank out of a place in NC. They say they pulled it from a 91 or a 92. I have an awd car is it possible that they sent me the wrong tank or do i have the wrong fuel hanger? its rusted to hell anyway but i dont have the 450$ to buy a new mitsu part. Any and all help is appreciated thanks.

The tank looks correct for your application but that sending unit is garbage! Go ask either thedsmgraveyard.com or s&m autoparts or mitsubishigraveyard on here and get a used one in better condition. If its that rusty on the outside, then the internals of the pump and lines are going to be just as rusty.

And I thought mine was rusty :barf:..I just measured mine from a 92, from inside rim to the bottom bolt is 9 /14 inches :thumb:
