Hi guys, I've been all over the internet these past couple of days trying to figure out what is the most proper way to run my fuel system. I'm running a big 16g turbo and a Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump and I'm in the market to buy new fuel injectors. I was thinking of buying 650cc injectors because its a good setup for the 16g but I've been reading and hearing people say that they need to run a maf translator, a gm maf sensor, and an safc. I've already priced everything out but i have an alternate route to save me even more money. People are saying the safc isn't needed if you run injectors bigger than 680cc, and someone is willing to sell me 750cc injectors for cheap. But my bigger problem is I've been hearing all kinds of things about the maf translator and sensor like saying its not needed and others have been saying its recommended so I'm really unsure what to do, and all I want is a legit answer please.

Well if you just want an answer to all your problems. Get this:

DSMLink v3
1050cc injectors
Aeromotive AFPR

Run your stock MAF. Sorry not so cheap but this is the dream setup for you. Hey wait, that's my setup!

People are saying the safc isn't needed if you run injectors bigger than 680cc.

You have that kinda backwards, around 680 is the limit of what the safc can compensate for. If you have injectors larger then that, you will need to use something better then an safc to tune the injectors, like a dsmlink.
Any larger injector will need a tuning device to compensate for and tune them, but what you can tune them with depends on the size.

The simplest solution is to replace your ECU with a '98 or '99 flashable ECU and have it flashed for the size of fuel injectors that you'll be running.

I would not put bigger then 550cc on safc, you can only trick the ecu so much. I would really save for ecmlink even if you get lite then you could might as well just buy 1000cc inejectors and not worry abouty upgrading. But for the safc setup if that's what you wanna stick with just find a cheap pair of 550cc's and tune it about 15 psi that would be as safe I would do it on that kind of setup especailly if you don't have a logger. Getting a ecu you can flash or tune with like posted above or getting ecmlink will allow you to do everything and any upgrade. Without a proper tune you can have all the big injectors and turbo in the world but it's not going to run right nor possibly run safe.
