I have a '90 talon shell. The problem I have encountered is that the car doesnt have any fuel lines. I am planning on running on E-85 fuel. What A.N lines should I go with? any suggestion would help. :hellyeah:

Well, being that my car is fully equiped as far as stock accessories and such (not being gutted) so I was worried about this for a while when i was building my system ( or planning it) I ended up with 2 x wally 255's intank with larger lines brazed in place of the OEM ones (this is optional ) but i start with 2 x -6AN fittings onthe hanar going through the blue "push lock" style hose to a "Y" block along side the tank... Now i stuck with -6 all thwe way to the rail for several reasons. First of all it met mygals of beingable to flow more than enough e85 for 500 whp, 2.) it was considerably cheaper than going -8, and 3.) it was WAY easier to fit -6 lines without it being sticking out in harms way anywhere along the chasssis bottom, and easier to fit to the fuel rail (both in and out) than the -8 stuff....plus my fuelab filetter and aeromotive AFPR already were setup on -6 so it's consistant

Not sure what you're trying for but the blue rubber body hose is WAY WAY cheaper than the SS braided stuff and the fittings are cheaper as well, you can probably make the same sytem for near 100 bucks less in the rubber as compared to tthe SS when using -6

I am rocking -6an to and from my 12 gallon fuel cell. I only used minimal ss braided line. I used hard line after my aeromotive fuel pump all the way up to the firewall. The hard line was a lot easier to form fit and not drag across the ground. Also it didn't cost nearly the price of ss braided lines.

D@mn the braided lines are expensive. But if we ever get E85 locally I am ready.

I like the idea how you ran the feed line. So now my next questions is where you guys purchase the fuel lines? Im thinking of going with 2 255 wallys intank as well.

This picture was taken sometime last year, before I did my body swap and a lot more work. But this should give you an idea, of how I did it for 1/3 of the cost.

The hard line goes down the frame rail (or what we have of a frame rail) and the ss braided are from the cell to the pump, then the firewall to the rail, the rail to the bottom of the firewall.

I got all my hard line at a local company here in bowling green, called bowling green rubber and gasket, also got all my ss and all my fittings there.

Welcome to Bowling Green Rubber & Gasket Co.

Great guys there, and can do anything you want.

rock1t .. Thanks for the pic. gives me a good visual on how to run the lines. and thanks for the website as well!!! I appreciate it

How much power will you be trying to make? There are some of us who run the bone stuck metal fuel lines running E85 and making good power! I only upgraded the rubber portion between the stock fuel filter and the fuel rail.

well I'm trying to get the my 1g running for the most part right now. I got the car missing some parts. But I got some fuel line that is similar size to stock to try to get the car on the road ASAP.

Gotcha. Just wanted to emphasize that you do not need to go all out and buy stuff you didn't really need. It's just a common trend amongst dsmers to do what others are doing without questioning why they are doing it. ;) Good luck with the project.
