I've been researching fuel system upgrades for the last couple of weeks and I feel that I have a pretty good handle on it now but I still have a few questions.
I'll start off by saying that I don't necessarily have a tight budget but i'm not looking to spend a lot of money on something that is not completely necessary.
I'll be running a 76HTA and all supporting mods. I'm hoping for 500whp so obviously I need my fuel system to be able to support that. I was planning on getting the Fuel Lab 515 kit w/ gauge, FIC 1150's and a 255 pump that will be rewired.
Now for my question. I've read that the rest of the fuel system is relatively capable and should be able to handle 500whp but i've also read that since i'm doing all these upgrades I might as well redo the entire system. Like -6an feed and return lines as well as a fuel filter and fuel rail. Do I really need all that? Like I said, I'm more than willing to spend the money if it's needed or at least highly suggested. Just looking for some advice.

Fittings and braided lines would be a good idea to upgrade fuel leak is one of the worst things to have ..with the money yer putting into it it would suck to have it damaged by a fire

Is there an all in one complete kit? I've been looking at the FIC kit Complete -6AN DSM Fuel Kit with Injectors but that one doesn't seem to include the braided lines. Aside from the lines though it appears to have everything else.

The link below should take you to ffwd's
site. They offer a high flow fuel system that consist of braided fuel line, fuel lab filter and mini fpr thats in the same location as the stock unit. If your not a fan of braided line stm offers a similar kit with russel proclassic hose.

Thanks for the links. Few questions though: Do I really need all that for 500whp. and I noticed that STM didn't have the fuel rail listed in any of those kits which leads me to believe that stock is fine. Also, in regards to the mini FPR is there any loss in performance when using that FPR because I haven't seen that on any vendor sites. Again thanks for the help.

Do you need it? Not really. But your car will enjoy it. Really depends on how efficient you want to be. If you are not sure if you need it, then go ahead with other upgrades and you will notice when you start to run out of fuel.

This is also a good time to decide if you want to run e85. If so, opt for the steel fuel filter.

Mini reg is ok.

Stock rail is ok.

Unfortunately there isn't e85 anywhere in the state; all I get is 90oct:/
