What size is the fuel rail bolt that connects the rail to the head on a 6 bolt.

You're kidding me right?! Take a set of sockets, go outside, lift your hood, grab a socket similar to the bolt head, see if it fits. If it does not for, try another socket!

91awdtsinoobie..... the head of the bolt may be 12mm, but the shank is 8 x 1.25 mm, I do not know the length

It's actually an M8 x 1.25mm pitch x 65mm. You might use a 12mm tool to remove it, but that does not relate to the bolt size.
