My fuel pump on my 91 tsi won't turn on for some oddball reason. I have only gotten word from the guys building the car and havent had the chance to make the 100 mile drive to see it, but they said they bench tested the turn on relay, and it works, and the pump works when given 12 volts, but somewhere between the computer and the relay, there's a break. Has anyone had a similar problem that wasn't the relay? the way I see it i have 4 options
1. Find the break in the wire (pain in the arse, all the wiring under the dash is an absolute maze)
2. Splice a section of wire in from where the turn on wire starts at the computer, then connect it to the turn on relay.
3. Run a 12 volt lead from the battery straight to the pump with a switch and a fuse.
4. Make my own turn on system, run a relay that flips on when the key is in the run position.
