while installing my 255 today i was tightening the positive wire from the pump to the pump bracket and broke the little stud off. i guess i wasnt paying attention and gave too much torque on the little bugger.
has anyone had this happen? i have 2 possible solutions i can think of. JB weld the stud back on, but i dont know if it will impede the flow of electricity. or i could solder the wire to the stud base thats left, not sure how great of an idea that is either.
any other suggestions, or comments about my 2 possible solutions would be greatly appreciated.
thanks, mike.

I'd try what you can, as the only other real alternative is to buy a new pump. Which obviously sucks. Personally, I'd go with soldering.

If you broke the stud you may have also broke the insulator it runs through.
When that happens you can try and find something that you can run and new bolt through that will completely insulate it from the mounting bracket or run a wire directly from the connector to the pump and seal around the bracket where you pass the wire through the hole.

If the insulator is still good you can remove the potting on the top where the wire attaches and put in a new bolt.
