fuel problem

im haveing problems with my 1g awd. im not getting fuel out of the pump. the car has a rewire kit and a 190 walbro! i changed the fuel pump relay and still nothing! the relay for the rewire kit is clicking, does that mean anything? let me know thanks alot brandon

Well, the clicking in the relay means its functioning. Check maybe your pump went bad or you could see whats going on inside the tank.

There is also a a little screen filter at the pump in the tank, check that and make sure that that is clear of any obstruction. Best bet would to just buy a new one. Make sure the the wire didn't get cut somewhere on the path from the pump to the engine bay. The fuel filter itself could also be clogged, meaning that the pump is still trying to pump but nothing can get by. Our haynes book says that those should be replaced every 60,000 miles, a dealer/mechanic will tell you every 30,000...it's a pain to get to if you still have all OEM stuff infront of it, but change that out probably every 45,000 miles. Other than that, check out the pump itself and make sure it didn't go bad on ya. Is it still making the wheezing/whining sound when the car runs (if the car can run)?

Ive been needing to change my filter every 10k miles... and the car feels better when I do. I changed it xmas about 8k miles ago

major rusto problems...

Oh my contribution to this thread is that if you have a sending unit like me you will need to change out that filter more often
