Fuel pressure!!

i was wondering how much fuel pressure my stock regulator puts out on my 97 GST. i was lookin at getting the BM FPR but didnt know what to set it to once i got it , or if it would give me a lil bit more fuel even though i still have stock injectors??

your stock FP is set at 43psi. with a 255 pump installed your probly already overriding that and its higher. The B&M unit is only good to riase your pressure.

Thats not totaly true. While it will not drop your fuel pressure a lot, it does have the ability to drop it a little bit. The fact that you can screw it out farther and let a little more pressure off the spring vs. stock will allow for a 3-4psi drop in fuel pressure, but that is it.

Not trying to argue but I tried screwing it out more on mine and it didn't drop. Then again I probably could have turned it out farther.

Thats not totaly true. While it will not drop your fuel pressure a lot, it does have the ability to drop it a little bit. The fact that you can screw it out farther and let a little more pressure off the spring vs. stock will allow for a 3-4psi drop in fuel pressure, but that is it.

Since the 255 is likely causing FPR overrun and since the B&M reuses the stock FPR internals then it's still overrunning because the stock return port can't flow enough fuel wide open to alow pressure regulation.

With a pump that isn't overruning the return port I'd grant you that the adjustment on the B&M might give a small margin for reduction.
