i have a 98 elipse with a turbo built 420a. i have rc engineering 550cc injectors and a sard 1:1 adjustable fpr. i need to know how to route my fuel lines and what to do about the fuel return system. the system right now is hacked pretty bad due to chassis being owned previously by a knuckle head. need to know what you did that works. using stock fuel rail!! thanks for your time. any advice would be appreciated!!!

ok just to clarrify if anyone reads my posts from early last year. i have not touched the car since then and have made no modifications since then. i moved away and left the car with engine filled with oil sitting at my parents house while i was gone. i am in the next two weeks or so going to start to "finish" my car because i need to drive her soon. my other car is takin a crap and is not worth fixin. so like I said any advice about the fuel system would be very helpful!!!! especially proper feed and return of fuel and fpr. I have an obx 12:1 also but dont trust it.

do I need my stock fpr in the system? if im running a 12:1 fmcu do i need another fpr? should i run the sard 1:1???? im lost on this!!

Only the 95 rails have a FPR built into the rail, so you don't have to worry about that unless the rail was swapped for an earlier version. If you're using the 550s, the FMU won't work.

so what do I do about regulating my fuel pressure??? use the sard fpr?? its 1:1.... and what do i do about fuel return to the tank??? the whole system has been hacked up and i wanna know how to properly install a new system that will work. i can fabricate the whole thing my self but dont want to have to redo it after i install.

how do I dump back into the fuel tank?? should the return line run all the way back so the line sits the bottom of the tank once i plumb it into the top??

and can someone explain to me what an s-fmu is??? and what are the best ones to look at buying?

im sure i have configuration that is on the right but it has been hacked so i need to replace it.

If you're using 550cc injectors you can't use a 12:1 FMU. You need to lower your idle fuel pressure enough so you're not flooding your engine at idle. You can do this with an AFPR, or and SFMU. An AFPR has a 1:1 rising rate and is typically used in conjunction with some sort of engine management system. An SFMU is an FMU with adjustable rising rate, and adjustable static fuel pressure.
I would recommend an SFMU, for you.

There is a return fuel line on top of the fuel pump bracket, so just run it to there. It's not under any pressure.

ok. i will figure out which one that line is and do it that way. now i have my sard 1:1 fpr. u are saying I should use that as just an fpr to keep static fuel pressure just low enough to fee into a s-fmu?? so use both right?? what wouls be the best sfmu to look into buying??? thanks for the info. if you could, keep it going!!! LOL

can anyone tell me what i can do to be able to post to classifieds?????? I have a gredy profec e-01 that i want to sell and i cant seem to be able to post to clasifieds.

I think you have to be a proven member to post in the classifieds...

You don't use both. An SFMU is like a AFPR and a FMU in one. It will control your idle fuel pressure and your rising rate.
Vortech is the only company I know of that makes an SFMU.

ok i will check out there products! thanks.

maybe i can get someone to trade me one for my greddy profec E-01 boost controller with remote switching system.!!!!! the vortech s-fmu is expensive!

got an sfmu on 2gtn for $190!!! cant wait to install it! then i gotta tune it!!
