I have a 420a turbo and i am trying to get some fuel injectors and since i am in a money crisis i am trying to get some from other cars if i can. I wanted to know if i can get injectors from a 4g63 and put them on my car or what other cars can i get them from i know i am going to have to some modifications but i am up for the challenge i am trying to get 400cc or 500 cc since i want to be able to boost more without my car cutting off on fuel. so any ideas will help

Just watch on getting 4g63 injectors. From what I've read, the autos came with 390's and the manuals came with the 450s. Not sure if they're both blue tops or not. I don't think so, but just a heads up.

You will also need an S-FMU (or greater) to run anything larger than the factory injectors.

where can i get the S-fmu? and also will the injectors from the manual 1g fit right on to the 420a connectors or do i need to get the connections from the 4g63s and cut them and then splice mine and wire them? and i can get these injectors from any 1g ?

does this goes as well for the 4g63s manual non turbo

The N/T 4g63 has a different color also. Blue top injectors can only be found in a 5 speed 90 94 4g63 turbo's.

well i got the injectors from a 4g63 turbo 5 speed and the resistor pack from it as well my question is know what? how do i make them work:confused:

Well I just removed the injectors and im about to wire the resistor pack. I saw the diagram that velocitaPaola provided but im a little confused, it says to cut the thick yellow wire and wire it with the resistor, but in my car the thick wire is green and the thin wire is yellow. So should i splice the thick green wire or the thin yellow one? or can one of you just tell me the black wire goes to the negative or positive input on the harness.

Well i completed the wiring with the resistor pack but I encountered another problem. When installing the injectors I saw that they are pretty loose. they move up and down easily. do i have buy new O-rings or do I have to mod the fuel rail? or am i supposed to put in additional O-rings??????
thanks

Hmm. They should actually be tight in the rail. When I recently did this install I had a bit of work getting them to finally seat without rolling the seals in the rail. You did use the 420a seals, correct?

Well the 420a o-rings seem to be the size but they are a little bit to thick and when i squeeze them in the o ring bends they had told me to go buy some other o rings the same diameter but less thicker or to trim the stock o-ring. How did u do it to squeeze them in?

It takes a bit of wiggle and grease/lube. Because I got a tub of it for rebuilds, I used white moly. Need to work them in carefully and slowly. They will roll off the top of the injector, so just do it until you got them in properly.

Well i was gonna suggest injectors from a stang since they work well and are of the same impidance, but since you went the other rout there is a right up on 2gnt that may help if you still have problems
