Fuel Injector Problem!!!

hey guys i was installing my new injectors and the plastic bump stop that guides the bolts from the fuel rail fell somewhere into the engine bay... they are lost--- now when i finish, i crank the car and it just crank's and dies--- is there any advice, are those plastic bumps needed ? thanks ...

yea you need those.theyre fuel rail spacers and they keep the injectors and the rail in place.with out them,your rail just bounces around and is a big fire hazard.find those spacers asap.

wow, this same thing happened to me today, lost an injector down there too

took me an hour to find them all, they were laying down at the bottom of the intake manifold.
you need a hella bright light to see them, i ended up fishing them out with a piece of wire(hands dont fit down there)

on a side note got them installed with no leaks along with my dsmlink

I've dropped one before when putting new injectors in and I would recommend that you get a new set. These are available from the dealership (fuel rail spacers is the correct term) or you can buy them from SBR as they have them in stock.

I rigged something temporarily and used my existing ones on the outside, but you may not get an optimal seal at the rail and encounter a boost leak from that location. Get a new set, use some RTV and set them into the head so that you don't have to worry about them falling off again.
