I was talking to Jafro for awhile about a bunch of stuff at the Shootout. I mentioned the fuel filter I was going to run and that I think many people just get advice and don’t read or research for themselves with bad results. This fuel filter has a flow gauge, serviceable filter and filters to spec. Mainly with corrosive fuels I don’t think people understand the issues associated and the cost of failure.
Thoughts?

I like the delta P indicator. Should save you from having a collapsed element.
The technical manual is good, that really helps.
The manual points out that for a return type system like ours, the maximum fuel flowrate is at idle, so that's when you look at the delta P indicator, knowing that it represents the worst case condition. (That's when delta P across the filter will be max).
The manual says the filter element is microglass and is 87% efficient on particles 5 microns or bigger.
That kind of fits with the fuelab rating of 6 microns on their microglass filter.
Size wise it's not clear to me if the ID filter element is more comparable to the "Short" Fuelab size, or the "Long", or the "Pro".
Haven't looked up the price on replacement elements either.

It's a very nice piece. I was looking into when they first released these. Serviceable by replacing the filter.. I think for 85% of the community it's overkill. When running 2 or 3 sets of injectors it would make sense. You can get a fuel lab filter housing and just use there fiberglass filter if you want to filter down to that low. The flow gauge is nice. If i had a dedicated race program it makes sense and the options for the sensor block so you can log it is nice but also achievable to adding a pressure sensor post filter to any other fuel filter. Just my 2 cents
