can someone please tell me where it is and how big of a pain in the ass its going to be to change it?

Standing in front of the engine compartment. the fuel filter is just to the right of your battery and ab out 6" - 10" down ( almost right below your TB elbow mounted to the firewall). It is somewhat a pain in the ass to get at and remove. Make sure you have the right tools, otherwise you break a line or strip a bolt head.

If you have a Chilton or haye's it would really help.

no i dont have a chilton or haynes... but other than the factor of getting to it, its pretty much uninstalling it and putting it back the way it was? will i have to mess with the evap?

battery, battery tray, battery tray bracket, Evap can braket, and the Evap can it self has to come out. It's a pitta to do, took me 45mins the first time, just make sure you releave the fuel pressure first, unlike me the first time :nono: or you will have a fuel mess, just take the gas cap off the tank and let it sit for a wile. good luck :thumb:

You need to make sure you have the right size wrenches for the fitting on the bottom, I believe both are standard size wrenches. I think the bolt on top is 19mm, not sure. That bolt gave me the hardest time, make sure you don't unbolt the filter bracket until after you have loosened both ends of the filter.

guys i'll tell u this right now....that was the BIGGEST PAIN IN THE ASS i have ever had to do. people have told me that it takes about 45mins-1hr to do.... it took me 4 hours. It wouldn't have taken so long if goliath on steriods and being pissed off didn't torque ALL of the nuts down as hard as he could. but atleast i have it now.
