Fuel Cut

Hello to everyone. As you can see in my profile I should have a very good base to work with. Car runs pretty well until I turn up the boost.Once it gets above 12psi, I feel what seems to be missing or fuel cut. I don't feel it should be losing fuel at 12psi. I have an AFPR and running about 45psi base pressure. There is no fuel management on the car at this time.
Looking for some ideas on where to start. Didn't find any boost leaks.

prob ## wastegate had the same problem on my laser. Soon as boost builds it feels like u hit a wall. Check your wastegate acutator.

The more I read, the more I think it is not fuel cut. It is more of a miss. I ordered new wires and plugs. If that isn't it, I will check the coil pack. My new EvoIII 16g came with an actuator so that part is new. I'm not sure how to check that anyway. If not wires,plugs or coil, I guess ecu or mas. I an going to confirm
base timing also. Any suggestions are welcome.

is it hesitating? If so your plugs/wires could be bad, need some more info.I remember when i crossed the plug wires and it missed like crazy see if you didnt mix anything up.

Haven't touched the plugs and wires. Car runs perfect untill you jump on it.
It is like a slight misfire more than hesitation. It seems to happen more in 2nd and 3ard gear hard pulls. Let me know what more info you need.

Is the power transistor part of the coil pack or is it separate?
Where can I locate it?

Check the gap on the plugs. If you experience misfires at WOT and the car runs perfect otherwise then the plugs are most likely gapped to large or the gap eroded.

most likely the prob pick up a gap guage at ## nearest auto store for like 2 bucks. Then gap it at .028. Get new plugs tho.( looks like a Coin)

Ordered new plugs and wires. They are due to be replaced anyway. I will gap at .28 and see what happens. WOT is when I feel the miss. If you take it out on the interstate and just mash the gas in 5th gear, it goes like a bat out of hell. It is those 1st, 2nd and 3ard gear wot pulls that I feel the misfires.

Good call by "rstchris" and "Sicotic". Had some 1 degree hotter plugs in the garage. Cleaned them up and gapped them at 28 and problem solved.
