New Hamburg,
Is there any way to modify the MAF on a 1G, to eliminate the fuel cut, besides just removing the bottom screen-mesh. I have removed the bottom and was able to run upwards of 21 psi but now that i have put a fmic on the flow has increase due to the increase volume of the intercooler and piping. no i can't run like past 16 psi without the fuel cut hiting???? is there any cheap way to eliminate the fuel cut completly, i have enough tuning devices to monitor the fuel cut, so i can go withiout it and be safe.

It is the worst thing when the engine can run at 21 Psi but the F*&^% computer /MAF won't allow it. also the problem seems to get worst as it gets colder out???

Any help would be greatly Appriciated.

Thanks :dsm: :talon: :laser:

Colder=more air.

Are you Positive you don't have any boost leaks after the new FMIC Install? A boost leak is the main reason why people hit fuel cut early.

You might want to think about switching to a 2g Mas setup.

Sure there is. First, make sure you have no boost leaks anywhere (IC piping, BOV, T/B shaft seals etc.) You can hack the MAS a little bit more by backing out the screw and or even dremel the area where you took out the lower honey comb so it looks like this -->D with the flat part facing up. :thumb: No fuel cut but I hope you have bigger than 450cc's (+ auxilliary fuel control) and you may get idle problems. On my MAS last year, I completely cut off the lower section. OMG :thumb: It pulled like crazy and idled just like stock - just make sure you don't run too lean and have a backup MAS just in case you f*ck up somewhere with the hack. ;) One of the sensors is located on the bottom portion of the MAS so be careful not to break it or saw it off. :D
