I am running a 16g turbo with Walbro pump, 750cc/min injectors, and the AEM F/IC-8 piggyback. I have water/meth injection, and have tuned the fuel trims and O2 targets to get a conservative 12:1 AFR in full boost and stoich below 5"Hg. I have the capability with the piggyback to tune MAF frequency but haven't touched it.
Here is the problem. Fuel cut. If I go easy on it I can get into 20 psi without cut, but if I go WOT and let that efficient turbo do it's thing, I almost knock my teeth out. I only build this engine for 350-80 horsepower (and have not been to the dyno yet, because of this issue), so it is relatively mild.
So why am I hitting the cut? Should I clamp the MAF at 2700hz Kharmann, or perhaps just alter it like a SAFC would do?

You don't mention having done a boost leak test, so that's the first thing to do if you are hitting fuel cut. However, I would hit fuel cut with my 16g at about 21psi with no leaks, so you may just be at the upper limit without going with a modified ECU.

The ECU is going to read gm/rev to determine fuel cut, so that's why you can get into it slowly and not cut out.

that makes sense. Yes, I have done a boost leak test. That was the solution to some of my other problems. I suppose I can do another! I will also write my MAF map to limit flow to 2.5g/rev. Well, I guess I need to calculate that since the FIC only adjust in frequency.
