Hi,
First I want to say that I did search as best I could for fuel cells and things like that. I am in the middle of setting up/putting together a fuel system for a project car of mine. I have decided to use -8 an SS braided feed, -6 an SS braided return, Bosch 044 pump, stock injectors (to just get the car started up, bought the car in pieces from a friend), Aeromotive AFPR, and a fuel cell mounted in the trunk.
I planned on using a Jaz aluminum fuel cell (most likely the 4 gallon, 12 in. x 10 in. x 8 in. size) and covering it in an aluminum box as pictured in post #9 of the following thread:

I will then run the fuel lines through a hole in the trunk floor (possibly old fuel pump access panel) and the fuel pump and lines will be mounted on the underside of the body.
I also plan on hooking up a vent tube from the box around the fuel cell to possibly where the attena use to be or one of the drain tubes for the hatch/body weather stripping area that is already there.
I have a copy of the 2009 nhra rules and I dont think this setup should be in violation. The fuel cell will be surrounded in a metal box (firewalled), will be vented, the fuel lines will be SS braided, and if things work out how I would like the fuel lines will be inside the metal box sorrounding the fuel cell.
What is your guys opinions of my setup? Do you think it would be NHRA legal?
Thanks,
Bill
