1G Front strut bar?

Hi everyone. I had the 8g vr4 front strut bar on my 7g galant and its really an amazing bar. I tried swapping it to my dsm but it won't clear the hood. Does anyone know of a strut bar out there for our cars that not only connects to the strut towers but also down on the upper control arm bolts just as the vr4 bar does?

I have a bar supposedly made by falken that attaches to the strut towers. Its a good bar.

In a short answer NO you wouod have to design your own im afraid,

Post up a pic of the bar your wanting for your car, im always looking for ideas on strut bars if i get the time i could see about a prototype

This is my Galant bar. See how it also connects to the upper control arm bolts? I want this for my Eclipse.

Or could I get a bar that would fit and then bolt these onto the new bar? The bar lines up with the Eclipse mounting spots since the 7g Galant are basically the same chassis.

If the mount fits then use it and just fab up a bar to fit then its done, what are you trying to get from bolting it down to the extra bolt? I mean if its already braced just above it then surely it wont need bracing a few inches below the mount tops?

Well it connects the two upper control arm bolts as well. It made a big difference on my Galant. I just really like this design and surprised I haven't seen any bars like this for DSM's.

if its not been made then it might not need it, i say might as alot of companys could have seen it as a possible option to use it but felt they did not see any improvements over the traditional strut bars. if its a factor that YOU want it then buy a dc cs2 and weld an additional brace from the upper arm bolt to the dc strut bar at about 45 degrees so it slopes in rather then straight to the towers that should do it for you
