Front speaker Question

okay i'm looking at getting so new front speakers and i was wondering what i can put in there, i thing the stock speakers are like 3 1/2" but i was wondering if i could put 5 1/2" i'm getting a good deal on the 5 1/2" speakers so i just wanna know before i go ahead and buy them, the speakers are sony explodes with the star shape grill. if that helps. if anyone can give me some advise thanks. or any comments on what will fit in there. cars a 95 eclipse

front speakers are NOT 3.5 inchers... that is mis info that has been floating around for years on sizing lists (dash high/teeeters speakers are not 3.5 either)

do you have 6.5 (round) or 6x9 oval rears?

if oval the fronts are 6.5 if round the mouns are set up for 5.25

I would never put exploding speakers in my car, but that is jsut my proffessional opinion...
unless you are getting them from walmart there are better quality and sounding and often cheaper speakers out there like Total.

well thanks for the info, so i guess they will fit i'm getting the sonys cause there like 15 bucks for a brand new pair. but thanks for the advice.
