well guys like the title say i was wondering if a 24x7x3.5 or something like the ebay cores will affect my performance negatively if i were to mount one of those up. i will be upgrading to 20g/vtrim(might be able to get this really cheap through a local guy) or a 50trim(ideally what i want) but for now the 14b will have to stay untill i get the cash for a larger turbo. so any opinions? a wiseman's opinion would also really help! if its not too much trouble

If it were me, I would get a moderately large one. Like a 24x10x3 or something around there. Because you are upgrading in the future, you don't want to spend money and buy a small intercooler now then a larger one in the future. I agree that the larger intercooler isn't the best for small turbos, but I also agree on spending money once.

Your 14b will just have to suffer a few lbs/min now. But when you get the larger turbo, he'll be happy.

I agree with you brute, i have the 24X11X3 on my 1G with an EVO 3 and i love it. Ive seen the most as 40 lbs min with dsmlink. Probly not too acurate though. And as far as upgrading later, you will be thanking yourself for not having to buy stuff twice!
