i just finished installing my Aeromotive AFPR along with an Aeromotive fuel rail, 255lph warlbro fuel pump and 550cc denso injectors. what is a good setting for the fuel pressure regulator? how much pressure? thanks

Is stock Pressure 43.5 on both the 1g and 2g or is it lower on the 1g? I heard it was only 37 on 1g. am I wrong?

You're correct, a 1G is 37 psi.

well i took out the fuel pump after checking everything else. I founf that I am missing the spacer on the pump (see pic). I did not notice this before. hopefully this will help or correct my problem.

So i fixed the low fuel pressure. now as usual i got some other problems. I took my car on a little drive. nothing hard or fast just normal driving. on the way back i noticed that I do not build any boost. what the hell. the car runs fine at normal speeds but when i try and speed up i do not have any boost. what could cause this? also the car sometimes idles high, as much as 1500 rps. I checked all my vacuum lines and all but they were all fine. any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Was the low fuel pressure caused by a fuel pump problem? Please post what you found so that others can learn from your situation as well.

Regarding your spoolup problem, what have you changed since the last time it was working properly? If it was just the fuel system components, I would check that any vacuum lines you disconnected in the process have been reconnected, e.g. the FPR vacuum line and possibly the line to your boost gage. The fact that you have a high idle seems to point to a line from the intake manifold being disconnected as well.

correct the low fuel pump pressure problem was caused by the fuel pump spacer. instead of the full pressure flowing to the engine it was bleeding back through the o-ring and into the tank. so i corrected that and corrected that problem.

as far an my no boost i have no idea. i check all lines. I recently insatlled a FMIC while waiting on some of my fuel parts to arrive. My boost guage sita at 15 vacuum during idle but as i accelerate it does not go above 0. i will pull everything apart and do i boost test. Has anyone had this problem?

I think they mean they're at 43 with it off, then when they connect the vacuum line, it drops to 38 or so.

i cant get my fpr below 50psi. what am i doing wrong? before i couldnt get it below the 60psi now it went to 50 and i cant get it any lower.

Assuming everything is hooked up right, pop the gas door and see if it pops due to pressure.
