fp2 cams are rare?

so ive been in the market for cams so i can put them in this winter. i was really interested in the forced performance fp2s until i found out that they are just the comp cam 272 with a $530 price tag. i even went as far as going on to forced perfomances website and looking up cam specs, which their pdf file even say comp cams right at the very top of it. so i dont see these cams as being rare if comp cams makes them and you can buy the comp cams for $110 less.

Im curious to know about this too, and if the ones I bought in this rebuilt head are real fp2's/Comp Cams. So are these regrinds? I believe mine have "CWC" ground onto the sticks with some other writing. I will take a picture later to show you. Do you know if that stands for Comp Cams?

what would give you the idea that they are rare? they are all over the place. anyways yes the 101200s that comp cams make are identical in every way. so if you are looking into them and are going for price, find a used set in the classifieds

I wouldn't call them rare. I've been told the are an older design. I have a set and Have nothing bad to say about them. They pulled hard to 8K in my 2L, had a decent idle, and work with stock valve train. They are made by Comp Cams.

ive just browsed through the classifieds and saw that the sellers are saying they are rare.. i personally dont believe they are especially when i can go on extremepsi and buy them.. what im really getting at is that they are a comp cam just more expensive.. why i dont know..

Where can you pick up comp cams for less than $110? Looks like the comp cams are 418, or are you talking about reground cams as the comp/fp2 cams are not reground cams.

I have the FP 1,2 cam combo and yes they come with Compcam spec sheets.

I believe the CWC is the company that makes the blanks. If you want to verify that they are indeed real comp cams give comp a call. I had to go through this recently and there customer service is great.

see this is my point exactly, thats all the fp cams are, overpriced comp cams. i just dont understand why people jump on the fp cams when the comp cams are cheaper and the exact same thing.
