get a trickle charger that has 6v 6 amp on it and just put wires in normal hot to hot config to see if pitle moves out and oposite to pull it back in. this also verifys that it is the sensor and not the motor.. I would assume anyway. you can also use a 6 v battery but i already had a charder so i used that. dont set it to 12v it will fry the motor
