My friend and I swapped intake pipes/MAS/filters for fun, and when I swapped mine back in we forgot to plug in the MAS.
Found that out the hard way: I started the engine not knowing it was unplugged, somehow it ran and ran fine except it was MAD rich, backfiring at each shift, and it idled around 1100. The Check Engine (Service Engine Soon) light came on. The A/F gauge was pegged rich and my SAFC gave me no airflow reading. This is when I realized it was unplugged, and plugged it back in. After that, everything was back to normal, except the CEL was still on. Could it have come on because of the unplugged MAS, and now I just have to get it reset, or could it be something else? If I corrected the problem, is it supposed to go out or stay lit until its reset?
