For the SW Missouri/NW Arkansas guys out there

Hey, anyone from around here? I know a few dsm's around here, but not too many, there's GOT to be more.
Anyway, our new shop building is done. It measures 60' x 80' and has a Rotary lift. Its not a business or anything, just for personal use. Its also heated and has a/c so you can be comfy... I have about every tool you would need, including a pipe bender. If anyone in the area needs someplace to do a few upgrades or repairs on their dsm, i'd love to help out.
The shop is located south of Noel, MO. About 1 mile from the Ark. line.
Also, i just got a PLX wideband and a laptop for datalogging 2g cars. I have the software for 1g's, but no cable.
I'd like to get all the SW Missouri/ NW Arkansas guys to post something in this thread, just so i know how many people are out there.

I just got back from joplin. Went and saw a movie. I actually live in neosho. That's where i'm at 90% of the time. I'm probably the only 2gb awd in the area. I went up to joplin saturday night, and there was NO ONE out. I go down to fayetteville a lot, because there's always somethin goin on down there.
Friday night there was a 2001 trans am that looked stock, except for a roll cage. Come to find out it had a Lingenfelter twin turbo small block and a 200shot. Ran a 10.3 on street tires. I wanted to take a go at it from a light, because i knew he would never hook up on the cold pavement, but we didnt. The track opens up next month, so i'll be up there.

Hey, I live Near West Plains/Springfield Missouri, and about 2 hours or so away from the Arkansas line. It'd be awesome if someone set up a meet sometime for us Southern Missouri/Northern Arkansas DSMer's. Also wonder if anyone knows anything about Autocross open track days at Ducks Stadium in Springfield? Or any close by open tracks?

Well, the closest track to Springfield is OIR (Ozark Internatinal Raceway) in Rogersville. I go to Mokan occasionally although I prefer breaking the car 20miles from home rather than 90 miles away. I'm not sure when auto-X open track at Ducks begins. Check www.ormscca.org for details.

there's a kid in neosho w/ a 2gb gsx thats red. then there's a few ppl here in joplin w/ a 1g gsx/tsi awd. but soon, very soon i will have my 2gb gsx....

but ya, mokan's a better track than the one out at rogersville

west plains is a few hours away from j-town, geezbus. but ya, i'd come to a meet. needa come cruisin in joplin when everyone is out (usually on fridays) and go to where all the mustangs hang out and piss them off. sounds like a plan to me

wow, i've never seen a red gsx in neosho. Oh if anyone is interested, there is a black gsx and a white gst spyder for sale in fayetteville right now. My friends dad owns the car lot. The spyder is a 98 and the gsx is a 97. Spyder auto, gsx 5 speed. Beautiful cars.
Also the mitsu dealer has a 99 vr4 for sale. Just incase anyone is interested in going down there and picking up a dsm. They are getting hard to find around here.

If we could get enough people together we could all meet somewhere. I'll be going to mokan next month to see what i run now.
Everyone needs to at least post something if they would be interested in getting together sometime in the future.

i kinda suggest that all of us come to joplin and cruise main on a friday night and find a parking lot to hang out in. and just drive around and have some fun. or else we could go to hooters in springfield or fayetteville.

Im from springfield, and i know a couple more with dsm's here. Meet sounds good to me.

I just got my license last june and the dsm on the road in september so i havnt had a chance to go down the 1/4 yet, but when the tracks open we're gonna see what i can do, even with my damn wheel hop

oh, and i know someone with a 96 tsi awd around here too. hopefully this summer i can get me an AWD going tho....ooooh traction baby

I'm glad more people are replying to this. There are quite a few northwest arkansas guys that i'm sure would come to a meet. From Fayetteville to Springfield, Joplin is pretty much the middle, so that would be my vote anyway. The track opens up next month, we could just meet there one day perhaps.

I vote on we meet on an open track day next month when it starts, it'd give me enough time to get some extra cash to run open track for awhile and get some extra work done on my car. Just my vote.

I need a good crank for my rebuild. I dont want anything scarred or anything needing to be turned.

On another note, we had a DSM meet last July and ended up at hooters then to the track in rogersville. It was really fun and Im up for that all over.
