hey guys, i was wondering what FMIC kit does not require any cutting or trimming of the bumper and is the best bang for the buck. Thanks.

The ETS (Extreme Turbo Systems) kit does that and allows you to keep your fog lights. Out of all the kits available for our cars it is the best. It's around 700 bucks though.

The next easiest kit to install is the Punishment Racing kit.

As for the best flowing 250-400 dollar kit is the VRSF but it is also much harder to install than the rest as it requires grinding.

For the 2g I would definitely go with the VRSF. It does require some cutting by the radiator support but I believe all short route kits require this. The only bad thing about it was it mounts in the holes where your factory foglights go but I just bought some aftermarket fogs that look like oem that aren't as bulky and mounted them back. It looks really good in my opinion. I have a picture but it was dark when I took it.

The pr core requires grinding wasnt too bad looks good.

Grinding on what?

If you mean the bumper support (crash beam) it only supports the bumper after you cut it. You really don't need to put it back on if you don't want to. You can find several different ways of supporting the bumper with out it.

As for anywhere else I haven't heard any complaints about needing to grind anything from anyone I know in person.

It almost makes me think maybe something was changed. When did you buy your kit?

You have to cut around the bottom of the support at the sides of the radiator where the piped come thru. Running no bumper support is stupid. You bumper fits like shit without it and if you happen to get into a small fender bender your car will likely be totaled.

Best bang for buck is the vrsf, punishment racing, ets would be last but it is a very good quality unit and allows to keep your fogs, lastly stay away from greddy, they suck, are inefficient use long route and let you keep your fogs but for the price and the performance loss is no way worth it. Trust me I have one and wish I didn't LOL

I cut my bumper support i dont run without it, thats just me, a little cutting and i was good. Got only a core three years ago, i made my own piping set up.

Yeah I agree with SPYDERGSTTUNER, the Greddy is by far one of the worst routed fmic's Ive ever seen. I went from that to the VRSF and my 20g turbo spools up faster on it than the EVOIII 16g did on the Greddy. It takes a little effort to install the VRSF but its well worth it in the long run.

=[… I have the greddy fmic, its old and banged up too, I should get a different one if you say your 20g spools faster than the 16g, since that's what ill be swapping out to soon..

But back in topic, I've installed 3 PR fmic kits and I didn't have to do any cutting or Nothin other than cutting the bumper support but that's not hard. Unless you wanna run without it but like mentioned above, it'd be stupid because any little front end hit, pretty much will total it
