fmic question

I have been searching the threads and i haven't found anything on this yet. I am wondering if there is a fmic kit (not ebay) that fits my 1998 2gen gsx without having to cut into the frame for install. I dont care if i cut into the bumper, I just care about the frame.

i know greddy/trust make kits. but expect to pay high for them new. you can find the on ebay though.

The ETS short route kit I got only required cutting the bumper and the splash guards

you could just take the bumper off and purchase a race bumper so you can fit that FMIC.

You dont have to cut the radiator support with the Punishment kit

If you want a real true intercooler kit you want this.

Plenty of options for you. Most kits do the job so there is a wide variety to choose from. I had a greddy/trust front mount on my old 2g no problems and I know ets as well is a direct fit. The other ones people listed are good too. All do the job, up to you to decide which one to go with.

By frame you mean?? The actual front radiator support frame? Or the bumper beam? If you don't mind cutting up the bumper beam, then you have a lot of options.

no you dont need any cut anything , its a bolt on kit for 2g

Thanks for all the feedback from everyone so far. I was thinking of the ETS fmic but i have read some forums on the installs on the ETS street/strip fmic kit and they have been cutting holes for the piping. Basically i dont want to cut anyholes in any metal on my car since i live in Canada and we have a tendancy for rust issues rather quick. If i have to car my front urathane plastic bumper thats fine. I sent ETS a email asking them if they have a short route that suites my needs with out any hacking metal and i haven't had a reply yet. So im now asking my 2g buddies.

my bumper support was already cut , but you can still install it without cuting it

Then you might ### to get a long route fmic, instead of a short route.

The punishment kit requires no metal cutting. You need to trim the inside of the bumper, as you do with any big front mount. Bolt's into place with ease, looks good and is cheap too.
