Hey guys I'm getting ready to purchase a clutch and need a little help figuring out my situation with the flywheel! I'm just gonna purchase an XTD stage 4 and see how it works out! I have a 6 bolt short block with a 2g head! So I know that I will need a 6 bolt flywheel! So I asked the seller on ebay if they offer 6 bolt flywheels with there kits and he said yes they do but there are 2 different sized 6 bolt flywheels. He said one is 271.5mm and the other is 281.5mm! My question is which one would I get?? Just some more info My shortblock is a 6 bolt NON turbo shortblock! Thanks alot guys!

It depends on what transmission you are using. A fwd transmission will take the larger diameter flywheel and the awd will take the smaller diameter. I would highly recommend just getting a good stock flywheel and have it resurfaced though.

I would say 271.5mm which is the smallest.
FWD Flywheel is bigger in diameter and AWD Flywheel is Smaller.

By the way, WHY EBAY?.

I think obviously $$$$$$, But If I was you, I would save some more $$ and go with a new clutch and a used Flywheel from some one here.

I used to do short cuts, But believe me, it doesn't worth it, at the end you end up wasting more money.

I bought a cheap throw out bearing and end up dropping the transmission to replace the bearing, which that sucks after 3 hours of hard work putting the clutch in and 3 more hours to replace the throw out bearing.:notgood:

This.

I am running the sprung XTD stage 4 clutch and I have no complaints. There is actually a thread on here about them and a lot of people have had a good experience with them. Of course there are a couple tragic ends but that can happen with any clutch. But if you aren't replacing your pivot ball and clutch fork then be prepared to shim that pivot ball. Check the position of the clutch fork before you put the trans back on.

Good Info.

By the way, did you bought it from EBAY?.
I know they are good quality and ACT as well like some other once, But some times doesn't really mutter what kind of clutch you use, But where you buy it from.:hmm:
It's OK to buy it from EBAY, But you need to know the source of it.
Before buying it, you need to know where they supply from and go from there.
