hey guys have a 93 gst with a performance flywheel and clutch. my main problem is sometimes when i shift the whole car shakes but if i push the clutch down and re-engage it its smooth. almost like it wasnt installed correctly. also when its engaging i hear a slight chatter. these problems are very annoying and it happens alot. ontop of that i cant stand how stiff my clutch pedal is. please help guys i need help i dont feel like dishing out alot of money just for this to happen again. btw i dont know what kind of flywheel or clutch it is but i know its aftermarket.

First how long has the clutch been in the car? Second, depending on the type of clutch in the car it is going to chatter when the clutch engages. Yours is probably suppose to if your pedal is real stiff maybe there is at least a 2600 in it with a 6 puck or street disc. If that is the case then the chatter is fine. As far as for after it is engaged try adjusting your clutch.

Either one of these should help you with that. If that doesn't fix it then maybe it was installed wrong or maybe a bolt backed out.

Good luck

yea i remember him saying i have a street disk in there. as for adjusting i have already adjusted it and i have no problem getting it in gear just when its engaging it will shake violently and when i gas it a little sometimes shakes even worse. but once i re-engage it will be smooth again. idk.

1. rebleed the system
2. check by the gas peddle and see if the master cylinder is leaking
3.check if the slave cylinder is leaking
try that if not you may have to look into taking the tranny off for futher inspection.

i bled it a few days ago and when i was adjusting the clutch there was no leaking at all at the cylinder its new so i did bleed it a few times to make sure i didnt miss anything. as for taking the tranny apart im not that good with dsm's to feel comfortable with that so i might take it to a shop but i just dont want them charging me alot of money when it might be just one simple thing. thats why i came here hoping this has happened to someone else and could pin point what it is causing this.
