Hey gurus, we are replacing a dead 5-speed manual with one from a junkyard. Should we run fluid through it before filling it up?
 
Has it ever been underwater? Otherwise, it's pretty well sealed-up. You might want to dump the first load of grease after 1000 miles and refill it. Only another good reason to use nice, cheap Pennzoil Synchromesh.
