i just bought a 3inch Apexi N1 exhaust for my GS-T, i heard that 3'' will cause a flat spot in acceleration and a 2.5'' is better....what is better?

When I had my T-25 it felt like it sort of had a "flat spot" in accelerating, but when I swapped out to a 14b it felt great, and amazing with a 16g.

It also depends on your other mods.

Depends on your goal, do you plan to upgrade further in the future, if so then keep it, if not then the 2.5 should be enough.

Also, will this be the only bolt-on modification that you've done to your car so far?

this is the first non-stock thing i bought for the car...i wasnt gonna put it on until i get a short ram intake and a BOV...for those were more expensive than i originally thought

is the cat-back easy to put on, could i do it myself with a lift and the right tools?

Depending on your experience, but yes... the Apexi Cat back for our cars is pretty simple to install if you have the right tools, that is if your bolts haven't rusted/corroded(which they probably have) also, if/when you find any rusted or rounded bolt heads, they should be cleaned/replaced aterwards.

Usually takes around 20-35min depending, remember to spray everything exhaust related with a penetrating lubricant, like PB Blaster etc: nuts/bolts/the bolts holding the rubber hangers, everything.

if you have access to a lift, exhaust install will be 10 times easier.
and i would expect some broken/rusted bolts

i run it with a big16g the 3" and it works great. i have nothing bad to say about it. it's not loud and it sounds good. i dont have any flat spots but i am running 22-25psi

i cant exactly afford a 16g at the moment...but would my GS-T run nice with the T-25 and the 3'' N1

I have a 14b and a 3" no cat exhaust on my DSM and I can def. feal a flat spot at 10 PSI. You boost up really fast and it just holds.... However at 15 PSI that is almost non existent.

And yes it will be fine with a T-25 and a 3" exhaust.
That flat spot is just a result of hitting boost quicker in my honest opinion so it feels like you level off quicker...
If that makes sense?
