fix detonation

there's already a thousand threads discussing detonation but no solutions that I found stock 450s stock turbo running 15 psi and when I'm on top of a gear say 3rd when it reaches 6400 it starts jerking and cutting out, bigger injectors? timing issues? tune?

Thanks man, that's why i love this site. No drama, good information, always quick to get replies. I just changed the manifold on it that might have something to do with a leak somewhere

Ya simple boost leak test with the throttle body open so you can see if one of your injector seals are leaking.. You should have a few leaks if it hasn't been done in a while.

sounds like an easy fix. I'm glad it isn't something more serious

Ha you say that until you spend an hour or so trying to find where that wooshing air sound is coming from. Stupid throttle body shaft o-rings.

haha that's why I said "sounds" we spent 6 hours saturday trying to replace the manifold and get it working properly
