Fittment Question.

Did a search but couldn't find an exact answer. I was hoping that someone would be able to tell me from first hand expierance.

Got my 2G DSM with ICW DV-8 wheels on it. They have been beaten to death by Tampa roads and the crappy 205/40 tires that were on the wheels when I got the car. I have since upgraded to 215/45 and things have much improved. But I was never able to find out what the offset of my wheels are. I have a chance to pick up four new wheels for under $300 so my question is:

Will 17x7 with 48 offset and 215/45 tire or 215/50 tires actually fit?

EDIT: The tires are Kumho Ecsta 711s.

Either of those should fit. Why not look at 225/45/17's though.

Seems like kind of a big offset... I have 225/45/17s on a 40mm offset.

The 215's I already have on my old rims. I was going to remount them. I would love 225s but would have to buy new tires and right now the budget is tight.

The offset is what worries me the most. I know they make a 40 offset but this is an ebay bid. If it doesn't work I can always sell them on ebay again.

As I said, either of those should fit easily with the 48 mm offset. The 50 height will be a little more than stock diameter but not enough to get you speeding tickets.

And when you decide to upgrade tires, the 225/45/17's shouldn't give you a problem either.
