I just bought another dsm a few months ago and I have been fixing mistakes the entire time. I am having a huge issue with the car since I've swapped to e85 and went to SD. I posted a log of a short pull, but when I get to about ~4k rpms it goes lean instantly like I don't have fuel and when I notice anything above 14 on the WB i let out and it makes a pop. It leans out extremely fast and it basically bogs down.

Now the changes I made during this transition:

-swapped from stock lines and 93 to -8an and e85
-fuel tank fell off the car from rust so I replaced with a fuel cell and inline 255
-added a fuel labs filter to the line that was sitting in my garage (had less than 500 miles w/93 when i took it off my old dsm)
-fixed several exhaust leaks/boost leaks
-replaced junk IC and piping with a big FMIC
-replaced an ebay BoV with a tial 50mm
-wg flap was always stuck open
- I made adjustments to bring it closed with the actuator arm. I think i might have pulled on the actuator arm to bring it to the flap to make sure the flap was closed tight (not sure if that matters or not)
-removed emissions and looped vacuum lines

I can't think of any other changes I made off the top of my head that would affect the performance of the car. My next steps would be to change the fuel pump out (its an extremely old pump that sat for about a month or 2 after using e85 without being pickled), possibly changing the battery even though the voltage didn't drop like I originally thought might have been happening, if those don't work then I would replace the filter as well.

Please let me know if I am missing anything. the car idles and cruises great, builds boost very smooth at low rpms, but just doesn't want to do anything past ~4k rpms

I don't think my info is accurate for my most recent car either. I have a 20g (20psi), walbro inline 255, aeromotive afpr - bfp is 45psi, FIC 2150s, v3 SD

My first thought was that my fuel pressure wasn't rising the 1:1 with boost so I swapped out the afpr with a known good one and the issue still occurs. Idle is 14.6-14.9 generally, and cruise fluctuates between 14-15 depending on the condition, but it is also very smooth. The WoT pull is only a second long because it bogs down and goes lean extremely quick. Makes a loud pop if I hold onto it anymore like detonation almost

I had a similar issue last year, I ended up finding 1 of the plug wires had got moisture inside the connection @ the coil and caused a little rust, Causing misfires under wot. Sounded terrible ran like crap. Maybe check out the ignition.

I'll check into it tomorrow, only thing that would be weird compared to your situation is that my car drives actually really well, building boost is very smooth and builds quick, just as soon as I get above 4k rpms it's sits on its face with how lean it gets

Try adjusting your globals closer to 0. I just dealt with my car going lean under boost for a long time. It Ran fine everywhere else. I was so sure it was a mechanical problem I ignored the tune for a while. Give it a shot, can't hurt.

I am running 1650s and wanted the global settings to match that. Took way to long to figure out my problem. The global is now set to ~1200CC injectors.

I will also give this a try today! I never thought about it but it makes a lot of sense. I ran the formula from ecmlink and jeffgst for setting up global with e85, but you're right, i keep thinking its a mechanical problem
