I just got my AFCII in my 2g...i really never tuned before...i read the manuals but i think its better to hear it from people who know tuning...how should i start off after the initial setups?? what numbers should i star off at?-

Mods: intake, bov, 3 in. exhaust turbo back, no cat, boost a/f guage, manual boost controller set at 13psi, intercooler piping, walbro 255 hp, and now AFCII

Get a datalogger and tune off of the knock count/timing. Most basic/cheapest way
, best way to go is a wideband setup.

Yeah, i'm still on the stock t25 and stock injectors...do i gain or lose anything with the afc hooked up and left at 0? Also, i heard about some people that messed with their afc with their stock injectors and stock turbo...

An adjustable fuel pressure regulator would have been a wiser purchase at this point. With that 255 you are over-running the stock fuel pressure regulator causing the car to run richer than normal.

The stock 450's will be able to fully support that T25, so unless he's recieving fuel cut, larger injectors arent needed on his setup as of yet. I agree however that the 255lph is first off way overkill on your particular setup. The stock 2g fuel pump will support the T25 fully, and much more if it is rewired. The 255lph that you now have is most definately overrunning your stock FPR. This causes your idle and cruise fuel trims to be badly effected, and as others have said if you are going to run the 255lph a AFPR would have been a much better investment. Without a logger I wouldnt touch the Safc at all. You can likely pull a few percent of fueling out however I dont see it as effecting you all that much whatsoever and it isnt worth it since you have no logger.

if the car runs richer than normal, can't i just lean it out with the afc?

yeah, i'm not hitting fuel cut..i'm going to be raising the boost though soon maybe up to 15 /16 pounds....

Anybody know a good place to get a logger and a fpr??

No, it doesnt work like that. The FPR, if overrun, will cause fueling to not be nice an linear under the fuel pressure conditions that it is overrun at. This means that a single adjustment through the Safc will not work, your only way is to get an AFPR.

Two things you can do right now with your AFC 1) set your STFT back so they are close to zero. 2) like CanadianTsi said you can pull a little fuel out of the top end start at 4000 and take 4-5% out then do a log see where your timing is at. Never let your timing drop below 17 degrees at the top end of your log though thats where you want to be. The car runs rich from the factory so there is a little tuning you can do to lean it up. Plus you have the 255 without the FPR so that also adds to the rich problem.

thanks a lot for the feedback.. Staytuned, whats STFT??
