this is my first time installing front speaker. my question is how hard is it?

any step by step on what to do and not what to do? i know that you can not remove that grill on the door panel.

take the door panel off and make sure you buy speakers that are made for the door so they bolt right in. If not then you will have to cut the door metal. Go slow and little by little. The trick to a nice custom install is
1 research
2 go slow and plan
3 measure everything, and then do it again
4 cut slowly, if it does not fit cut a little more. Its easer and looks better to not have cut enough 10 times than to cut too much once.

will i have to unplug anything like the plug to the window switch and door locks. the speaker i got are Pioneer TS-A1671R, 6 1/2".

After you pop all the tabs, and take the interior door panels the power controls for the windows/doors etc will need to be unplugged, or you can just take the plugs out of the door panel and leave them attached. For me I just disconnected em and yanked it all off with the door panels. Be careful not to break any of those tabs, some of them can be a real p.i.t.a to take off.

nah, just leave it all connected, pull the piece around the handle, remove teh crew in the bottom of the grab, and around the top ofthe door pop it off, set it on ground, remove old speaker, clip harness and attach standard spade connectors, plug in to new speakers. HOld in place and CAREFULLY use the 3 OEM screws to make new holes to mount them. If you have gotten 6.75 (6.5S) then the holes would line up.

the install was a success. only broke this one unknown screw when popping the door panel out, but everything went just fine. oh yea and i lost one of the screws.

What suck the most is knowing that the front was pop i never knew one of the rear speaker were pop.
