first time at track, disappointed

took the talon to the track for the first time today, very very disappointing. big 16g @ 9psi, 3'' turbo-back exhaust, dejon intake w/ k&n, 114k miles. here is the results.....

60' - 2.02
1/8 et - 9.6
mph- 70
1/4 et - 15.1
mph- 87

im pretty sure i have a boost leak somewhere tho, but never got around to testing it. but i am very upset with the results and hope to get the car fixed. check for leaks and check timing.

15.1 at 87?????? thats what a stock full weight awd dsm runs. 9psi?? u should b able to run at least 12psi or so without seeing knock. defintly turn it up and c what happens. i live in armada... we should meet up sometime.

Yah that is your problem..you are only runnin 9 psi... :thumbdown .what is that gonna do...nothin!!! I mean stock is 10-11 so why 9?? your waste gate will not open any earlier then 10-11 anyway so you must have a big leak if you are only hittin 9....check for leaks again and turn it up to 15... you can run way more then 12......

understandable...but I mph much higher at 8psi(93mph) and when I bumped it to 12psi I trapped at 100mph with a cel on for fuel trim.

i found my boost leak, i have 2 holes in my intercooler piping, wrapped some duct tape around them today and took it for a drive and went from 9psi before to 12psi now. So i re-raced my buddies srt-4 that ran 14.1 @95, he beat me by about 2-3 cars before, we raced tonight and he caught up to me at around 93 mph, so i'm sure i'm definately not running 15.1 now. .

My first time at the track was last night. Only mods are dejon intake and plug wires. Best was 16.4 @ 86. I hope to God that I have a boost leak the size of Texas.

Don't feel so bad I ran a 15.1@93mph But also that was at bandimere on the side of mountain in the rockies
