Hey all. So i ended up finding a pretty good deal on a 96 Eclipse Spyder GS. it got ran into by a lifted truck and smashed the radiator, core support (infront and above the radiator) and the hood. the motor and everything seems fine, will be digging into it tomorrow... I am curious if there is a basic list of what all should be done to help make it run better than just pure stock? I own a 05 Neon SRT-4 and we have a mods list of maintenance, performance, even more performance, etc. and was curious if there was something similar for the eclipse gs? i know i will replace the plugs and wires and oil, etc. all of that fun stuff. any suggestions on types of oil? (i am used to using castrol edge european 0w40 on my srt4, but it is a turbo). and NGK plugs. ill be doing more research and looking around the forums. glad to finally be part of the eclipse family. curious to see if my 96 is considered a "DSM" since they stopped being DSM after 95.5. also, anything i should be checking for in regards to the convertible top? thanks again!
id also like to mention that i do not plan on trying to make this car fast or race it or anything. I am mainly looking for performance and reliability gains (a cheap simple tune like a DSP sport tune), air intake, etc.
