First Problem With NEW DSM CEL

heya iv had my car for about 6months now and today i noticed that she will stutter(like when you leave it in gear to long and she is about to stall) when i try to accelerate in 2 and 3rd gear its also in 1st gear but not nearly as bad. It only does this up to about ~4300 RPM then the car drives like normal. Now just before i got home the CEL comes on. The turbo still spools up fine(i think) she also seems to have lost alot of power even when it isnt stuttering.(can barely make it up a hill in 3rd gear) now my only mods are injen intake a blitz bov thats being vented. anyone have any clues what this might be?
 
go to autozone and they can pull the code for free. then look in the manual for syptoms and repairs (its in the emmisions section of the chiltons manual) or let us know what it is.

**EDIT** Just reliazed your from canada, dont know if they have autozones there, but call a few auto parts claces and see if they can pull the code for you.
 
hehe its not vented by choice i ordered a maft awhile ago but now i got a greddy type s and piping coming so it wont be for long came that way. anyway now that i think about it i got full serve gas this morning and im pretty sure the old ####er put in 87 octane could this be causing the problem. also it is around -40 celcsius up here (hold off on that canada jokes please) but its been that cold for 2 weeks now cant see why that would cause it also i have access to pull the code myself at the shop i work at but i dont work for a couple days so itll be awhile before i get around to that but anymore help or feedback would be greatly apreciated
 
okay i guess i cant get the CEL pulled there is no where in town that has the equipment to pull the code and no mitsu dealer. I checked every dealership and shop in town not one wants to touch this car. and the nearest place is 2 hours away and they want 300 dollars to flatbed it there so guys i realy need your help what can i do?
 
okay little update i got the car started today but still having troubles with it i filled up with 93 octane hoping to dilute the 10 bucks of 87 i put in hoping that was the problem. but the car is still stuttering up to about 3500 rpms and now it wont idle everytime i go into netral (just pushing clutch in or throwing it in N) the rpms just fall and it stalls out. please i need help i dont wanna have to get it flatbeded 2hours away if its something stupid.
 
Got Electric tape? heres a temp fix to determin your problem so you dont go about replacing parts you dont need to, wrap your plug wires in electric tape on the part that goes down into the head. wrap every point and leave just enough that the wire will go on the plug. dont leave it on there but drive it after and see if it gets rid of the problem. if it fixes it. go buy yerself some new wires :thumb: if not post again i have some other suggestions.

i am gettin rid of the blitz valve for a greddy and uicp that i have already comming in the mail i know enough to not vent but i bought the car that way. also i cant even vent the blitz even if i ghetto rigged something because its facing the wrong way!!! so you guys think my problem is igngition/electrical? also when i went down to all the shops a few of them told me that if i shut the car off and turn it into accesory mode three times then turn it on the code should come up i called BS but tried it anyway... no luck

how would i figure out if it was my coil packs that are shot?

thanks for any help you guys can provide i wanna get my car running.
