1G First DSM. Help me out if you can!!!

Hey DSM guru's. Just got my first DSM about a month ago. There's a couple things I wanted to ask you guys and see what comes of it.

1. Twice since I've owned it (Driven approximately 2300 miles so far) it has idled extremely rough for the first couple minutes after start up. First time the motor was cold. Second time it was still warm. Incidents happened about 3 weeks apart. Although they seem different the result was the same. Car could bounce from ~200rpm - ~ 5-600rpm. When dropping to about 200rpm it could barely stay running.

2. I hear that basically every vaccuum line/hose is a potential boost leak. My car being 26 years old and mostly all original, I'm concerned with the condition of them and how to go about replacing if needed.

Anyones help and advice will be greatly appreciated!!

Welcome and do a boost leak test. Look it up on YouTube or google it if you don't know what that is

I admit I'm learning as well, but it could possibly be your iacv.

Boost leak is the first thing to do, you have to rule out all leaks and go from there (if it didn't fix the problem).

If it's not boost leak I strongly suggest testing your isc and checking the O ring. ended up replacing mine and it fixed the problem.
