Alright, so I've spent the past few hours trying to fix a problem that I very stupidly created. I recently bought a 95 fwd talon tsi. I removed the plug wires, valve cover, and fuel rail to check for a leak around the intake manifold. After I put everything back together the car won't stay running. Im pretty sure i put the wires back correctly, i used the 4-1-2-3 firing order. The car starts and revs up just fine, but it just dies after a short idle. Any ideas?

check your wires again to make sure they are in the correct order. did you put all the o-rings from the injectors back in place and replace any worn ones?

that was actually one of the things I was going to check next. I don't smell any fuel, but could bad o rings cause the car to not stay running?

Vacuum leaks? And if you don't have any fuel actually leaking from the injectors then i don't foresee that being the problem. for *hits and giggles try 2314 for the firing order. Make sure everything is plugged in (coil, transistor, tps sensor, etc...)

the seal on the head could be leaking but not shooting fuel out. it possible for it to shoot fuel out but ive had it happen top me where the o ring for the head caused a vaccum leak but wasnt leaking any fuel out.

Not to thread jack. Im having the same problem. I swapped out my 680s for 1050s the other day and the car wont idle or stay running at all. I pulled the fuel rail and let the injectors spray and they are not spraying nearly as much as they should be. Any ideas??

I'm really starting to lean more towards a vacuum line. I can't rememeber if I unplugged any vacuum hoses or not. how many, if any, vacuum lines are there near the intake manifold?
