FOR THOSE WHO DONT CARE TO READ THE WHOLE STORY: I grounded the + batt terminal to strut bar. Now radio, horn, rear defrost, and 2 lower blower motor speeds dont work. Every fuse and relay in my whole damn car is OK. WTF?

Yeah, I'm am idiot. Ask Defiant, I just got off the boat. I was tightening the positive terminal on the battery and WAP! I slipped and grounded out on my strut bar.

Now my radio, horn, rear defrost, and first 2 speeds of the blower motor don't work. Ive searched for hours on each different item. I have no bad fuses, all the relays seem fine (Ive swapped every one out with a good one) Everything worked before this happened.

With all this working I have tried to disable my "Antitheft" by pulling the fuse and relay under the dash but the "security" light still comes on on the dash! its annoying as hell. I didn't think this relay had to be in for the horn to work.

Ive done this before and got lucky nothing was damaged. Ive heard the entire wiring harness can melt somewhere and make it real hard to track. You could have also damaged the ecu. Open it up and look for burn marks, or blown capasitors. I think you may have damaged the ecu.

This actually happened about a month ago, my ECU blew up right after I had this accident, go figure. So it has a different ECU, maybe the harness is melted now like you say, Im sure its a guessing game as to where?

one vital tool that could help you is a led pos-neg test light .from mac tools..i have one
and trust me finding a short is much easier..plus its electronics safe

Sounds cheap enough, ill have to check it out, is that one I can just probe throught the wire with, or do I need to hit the ends of the connection?

UPDATE: For some reason now my rear defrost works, just my horn and radio dont work and its pissing me off.

Ok, thanks. Its just that I am electrically retarded, Ive never understood or had to diagnose electrical problems, I just always ge lucky guessing or get around the problem. Ive been fortunate enough to have not had any electrical problems with any of my cars the past 11 years. I guess its time I learn how. I have a hard time just using a multimeter trying to figure out what settings to have it on :D
