Ya I was at work in the North Slope and was browsing Craigslist. When I saw it I begged the guy not to sell it till I got back and could look at it. Showed up and it was gorgeous with low miles so I handed him cash and that was that. Very happy with the purchase. Now I've just gotta save some money and do a lot of research for the 5 speed swap that i'm gonna try and do for the first time LOL

awesome man, hope i can find a deal like that for how great the condition its in!

No longer interested.

Interested again.

Haha I figured I would catch a lot of crap for it. I think the talons look good and it's definitely growing on me, but... I just think 2gb eclipses look cleaner.

As for the Focus ST I'll definitely make a thread when it gets here. Should be a fun quick little car. It's more for my fiancé than anything but I'll drive it when my DSM is down.

It's just that everyone and their mother does this kind of swap. I actually wish I had stayed 2ga. I did it way back not knowing that most people would do this swap if they had something other then a 2gb eclipse.

2ga's are rare, even more so Talons. I'd leave it be, as originals such as those are fading away quick. But then again. It is your car, so do as you please. Only an opinion LOL.

Great find on it. :)

Most folks just have not seen the light. Auto dsm's are very, very nice. An absolute blast. Couple that with a shift box, and you will forget all about a manual transmission car. I put together a 14b powered Eagle Summit last year. We ended up trading some cars with a friend of mine and he was nervous about the automatic transmission. He absolutely loves it with the Rode Surge shift box. There is no way you could ever shift as fast as that thing.

There are a few options out there, but this is what we could get when we started the project. I love how that thing is to drive. You have absolute control over the car.

Nice find, I seen that car online and knew it would go to a good home! About that auto, I went with the IPT trans and Translab shiftkit, and LOVE it, there is a guy down on the peninsula here that worked for chrystler for 30 years, and he knows these cars inside/out he did the rebuild kit on mine it's a total beast! Look into it before you tear it out.
