fiberglass on the inside of the doors?

You're lucky. Once I'm in -picture putting a size 8 shoe on a size 12 foot- I'm too tall and porky to reach out under the roof edge. So I use the door vent as a pull handle, it's still close enough. I don't heave on it, though.

Yea, way too much for that.

A couple of tips about painting interiors - there's some stuff that will help the INTERIOR paint stick better - its call bond aid or bondum. used this stuff when i painted "TALON" on my tailights - it's lasted over 2 years with no chipping or fading.
